Home of Nevada’s state capital, Carson City has completed its beautification project and it truly is gorgeous. Carson is known for its authentic wild west history. Check out the Nevada Museum, it is both amazing and shocking when you learn what the lifestyles were like in those days. New restaurants, shopping and many other businesses line Main street along with the blue-line wine walk, a favorite for the community and tourist during the summer months. Carson enjoys wonderful weather nearly 200 days a year and boasts a variety of events such as the Nevada day parade, congressional sessions, public gatherings and more. New homes continue to be built in Carson City which is ultimately producing a dense capital city showing the sign of our modern times. The Ormsby House still sits empty south of the Main street – I hope one day soon Carson will find a proper owner to help this space find its true glory. Carson City is a true gem. I particularly enjoy all the new eateries on Main street. Attractions: Governor’s Mansion, Bowers Mansion Regional park, Kit Carson Trail, Casino Fandango and the Nevada State Railroad.
